Why are O'Leary PEI soils conducive to Potato growing?

O'Leary is in the center of Class 2 soils in West Prince County. Class 2 soils are rare in Canada and are rich in natural nutrients with very little input needed to support intensive agriculture.

What is the growing and harvesting cycle for O'Leary Potato Packers?
Most potato varieties of our firm are planted between April 20-May 20 each year and are harvested in approximately 90-120 days during the fall.

What process does OPP have for potato quality control?
Bulk potatoes from the farm are put through a washing and grading line and packaged into appropriate bags or cartons. Quality control test samples are selected along the processing line.

Who is a typical customer of OPP's products?
OPP sells its products to grocery stores, wholesalers, repackers and dealers around the globe.
