Our Community

O'Leary is a village of 877 people that offers services and amenities for a large agriculture district surrounding the village. It is centrally located in West Prince County and has excellent quality of schools, hospitals, health centres, housing, government, and business services. The community was founded in 1951 as a service centre for surrounding farmers. It grew substantially as a result of the economic changes affecting West Prince over the years, including consolidation of farms and public sector involvement.

O'Leary Potato Packers and president Warren Ellis are committed to having a strong involvement in the community. Over the years we have sponsored many sports teams and events.

	O'Leary Potato Packer Eagles Junior Hockey Team - Atlantic Canadian Champions and Don Johnson Cup winners.
	Sponsored Junior and Senior Hockey teams and made donations to various local hockey teams over the years.
	Sponsor of the Bloomfield Eagles Ball Team for the past 12 years. The Eagles have gone to the Canadian Championships for the past five years.
	Sponsor of Curling in O'Leary
	Involved in Terry Fox run since it's inception 22 years ago.
	Contributor to local rinks.
	Contributor to local hospital.
